Airport Parking Directory - BOOK HERE
Glasgow Prestwick airport serves the West of Scotland. The airport is situated less than half an hour from the city centre of Glasgow, with its own railway station and claims to have a quick check-in capability. There is on site car parking and reserved car parking too and the airport services British locations as well as European ones and now also has a flight to Montego Bay in Jamaica as well.
The airport has 2 short stay car parks and 2 long stay car parks. The short stay car parks are easily walkable to the terminal and the longer stay car parks are serviced by a courtesy shuttle bus. You are recommended to advance book the longer stay car parks at least 24 hours before arriving but this is not required for the short stay car parks.
The short stay car parks (car park 1 and 2) will be signposted clearly as you get near to the terminal. When you get to the entrance barrier you must take a ticket and this needs to be kept with you on your travels. Whilst there is security in the car parks the airport will not accept responsibility for the loss of valuables or any damage to your vehicles so do not leave valuables in view. When you arrive back at the airport, there are ticket machines in the arrivals area of the main terminal and you should put your entry ticket in these and pay. You cannot pay at the exit barrier.
Car park 3 is the mid/long stay car park and is clearly signposted across the dual carriage from the terminal building. You are advised to drop off your luggage and any passengers at the terminal building prior to parking. Should you have made an advance booking for the car park then you need to show the gate attendant your voucher when you arrive at the car park. If you haven't reserved a place then you should take a ticket and keep it with you. After you park your car you should look for the courtesy bus area. Should a bus not be there the car park attendant will call it. Car park 4 is also a long stay car park, and is further up the main road past the terminals, and clearly signposted. Should you have advance booking, you can show your voucher to the car park attendant to leave. Or you need to pay in the terminal at the machines if you haven't booked. You cannot pay at the exit barrier.
The short stay car parks cost an average of £7.50 a day, whilst the pre-booked customers of long stay car parks pay £4 a day and those who drive up pay £4.50 a day.
